The drive test engineer or the DT engineer is the person who is responsible for maintaining the network’s functionality and efficiency. Also, he is an expert in radio frequency, DT engineer runs many tests to make sure that the radio frequency circuits and systems perform well.
A Project Engineer has to work closely with Customer wireless network specialists to evaluate, maintain, and improve the radio frequency networks and ensure the achievement of KPIs.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drive Test Engineer should have knowledge & Field Exp in Telecom RF background
- Assess the network performance as a whole, then start to identify each area that needs improvement and testing.
- Ensure completion of Site Audits and Optimization in a given time frame.
- Testing field equipment for Accuracy.
- Lead troubleshooting activities for performance-related network issues.
- Ensure Timely Log/Report submission.
- Test the functionality of the mobile networks.
- GIS-based optimization.
- Understanding and keeping under control the customer issues with proper communication with the client.
- Timely Response to RNO & Coordinators/Managers’ queries.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- B.Tech / B.E / Diploma with min. 0-3 Year Experience.
- Basic Knowledge of Telecom RF Equipment.
- Basic knowledge of LTE and RF networks.
- Knowledge in Drive Test Tools like XCAL, AZQs etc
